Faceless Lover


I hear my heartbeat so loud
Shallow breath I take
Unheard gasp I make
This feeling is so strange yet I allow

No words spoken
Just skin touching
No reason taken
Just soul intertwining

A face in the shadow
Gives me feeling of being own
It's so frightening
Yet it's so liberating

From the time I open my eyes
You're gone to the misty air
To the beyond I glare
But none I find

The memory I kept
To my inner most self I buried it
Primitive scent you left
I sucked into it

My skin still tingles
From the fleeting touches of your hand
Your breath still lingers
To the places I shun

You're just a visitor in the night
Just a shadow in my mind
An enigma of my soul
Yet the one I've always known
