While searching for the book covers of Twilight series, I came across this fan-made book cover of Midnight Sun, it's the Edward version of Twilight.....Bella is holding an apple while Edward's holding a banana...hhmmm I think you'll get what it connotes.....well it's pretty funny.

A Spell I Know
It's all about my childhood days....
A Spell I Know
I know a spell to chant
It does not capture a heart
Neither it casts an ill-luck
but a spell against wasp
An easy word to murmur
"Oko ti kem kem kem,
tapara ka kem kem."
Just hope it works
i don't know what language it is
Nor what it means
but a friend said
it keeps a wasp at bay
She taught us how to chant
To learn it, took a while
It makes a wasp immobile
That prevents a sting from a wasp
We tried it once
The new knowledge we learned
Three heads gathered
Around a hive hanging from a branch
There we chanted
Like a song before time
Army of wasp from the hive
danced from the tune we chanted
There they were
dancing a step of their own
singing a song of their own
amids eyes that were unaware
There we were, surprised
running where our little feet might take us
chanting at the top of our lungs
A cloud of wasp behind
So much faith in a spell
So much confidence in a spell
But in the end, it failed us
And we ended up stung!

The Unconfessed Love of a Stranger
I wrote this in my college days, I had a major crush on our cute neighbor...
The Unconfessed Love of a Stranger
I can look at you yonder
but not an inch closer
I can gaze at you all I want
but I dare not
I can think of a thousand words to say
and not utter one
I can think of a thousand ways
and not do one
I can be with any other guy
but I choose not
I can say goodbye
but I cannot
I can hope forever
and to despair, never!
I can wait forever
but I won't live forever
To me, you are a lover
To you, I am a stranger
To confess, that's hard to do
To dream, that's what I do

The Rescuer
The Rescuer
One unlucky night
Father came home drunk
Kicked the door with such ire
The room trembled like a bomb
Poignant words hurled
With voice like thunder
Pierced us with his blazing eyes
Like hell fire
My sister's late night outing
Was the cause of this madness
That made me feel with such loathing
To my father that's so drown from drunkenness
There I lay trembling
With fear for my sister
I knew what was coming
Couldn't imagine what it'd do to my sister
I waited with such dread
For a sign that she's home
To unmind it, I pretended
Prayed this terror would leave me alone
At last she's back
My father's lengthy rate began
Accepted no amount of reason
The blows would come soon
I heard her whimper
A thud to the wall
I sprang with such power
And run to her rescue
She hugged the wall
Trembling hands covered her face
A startling sob I made
Caused his raised hand to fall
He turned on me
I started to escape
But it's too late
I felt the stinging whip on me

Time Passing Me By
Being jobless and dying to know how it felt to have a job...but now, having experienced working, it's worse than just bumming around....it depends on the kind of job you have though.
Time Passing Me By
I'm 23 at the moment
Half of it wasted
A quarter of it is treasured
Another quarter is forgotten
Lying here in the hammock
Hearing the clock's tic-tac
Many plans still undone
Knowing that this moment is gone
Here comes another day
Another dream thrown away
A dream that is let go again
Tomorrow will be the same
Time goes by
Opportunities missed
It'll never come twice
It's another unfulfilled wish
On the west, the sun is setting
Such a sight to behold
Yet a sign of warning
Flashed across the horizon
Hours passing slowly
Leaving me so empty
Joy comes fleetingly
Leaving me with such agony

Once Upon a Day
The time our home was burnt to the ground...
Once Upon a Day
One fine day
Cloud of smoke went up the sky
The neighbors shouted "fire!"
Made my sister ask "where?!"
The neighbors chorused "in your house!"
It caused my sister to shout
And went back to the house and warn the others
And woke my sleeping brother
He climbed the stairs with sleepy head
A glass of water in hand
To put out the fire at hand
Not understanding full well
My father quickly grabbed his boots
And put them on
With nothing else on
But his underwear on
My sister wore a baggy pants
And managed to put on a red hat
Across the fire blazing
Swallowing everything
There I was on my way home
Saw fire trucks on the street
Thinking that it's only a fire drill
At an Inn across our home
Images played before me
Our cat's carcasses floating in the water
Tear-stained faces of my sisters
My nephews' grave faces and bared feet
But when I look back
I can't help but laugh
At how stupid my brother was
And how funny my father looked

Atrophy of the Soul
It's all about suppressed anger......
Atrophy of the Soul
Cup thrown to the wall
Shattered pieces fell to the ground
Drops of milo spilled around
Tears started to fall
Cold voices heard
Piercing words spoken
Yearned to be heard
Around ears that were deaf
In a bathroom hidden
A sharp object held
In a hand so shaken
No ounce of strength left
Uncontrollable sobs muffled
Cry of pain repressed
Plea for help unreached
No one's name called
Blurry eyes in fear
In a place so unclear
Looked for a soul
That is so lost
Felt so all alone
Inside so empty
No one understood
The soul's agony
Wished to be apart
From the flesh so weak
To be free from misery
To leave the place once loved

Their Dirty Little Secret
This is about having sisters and sharing the same room and the same bed...a lot of things can happen in the morning....even now we still share the same room and bed....
Their Dirty Little Secret
One early morn
Three sisters lying in the bed
With such innocence in their faces
Like they are newly born
What do they do
First thing in the morn?
You will never guess
What their little secret is
The eldest is the first to spill it
Brrrooootototottototooooooot!
There goes her dirty little secret
Such serene look she gave
But nonetheless
A slap lands on her face
From one of her sister's foot
It's the middle sister's turn to spill it
Fru..fro…fro…frooooooooot!
There goes her dirty little secret
Covers her face soon
Before her sister could react
Wouldn't want to receive their wrath
To her dismay, a painful kick on her butt
The youngest gives her best
To have her sweet revenge
Peeeeerrrrrrrliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!
There goes her little secret
No one can beat it
The elders run in defeat
Cover their noses with might
the youngest gives her naughty smile
goes back to sleep to continue her dream
what a morning to start their day!

Almost
Another stupid dream I had....it must have been the effect of the summer heat ....
Almost
As I look up the sky
I close my eyes tight
And bask in the stars so bright
There must be something special tonight
Leaning to a lone tree
Hearing the soft rustling of leaves
Feeling the feathery tap of the breeze
Like a warm breath whispered to my ears
"What are you thinking?"
I hear a masculine voice say
I open my eyes in its way
And look unto eyes that are so penetrating
I can give him no reply
But stare back at him in disbelief
This seems so surreal
But my heart's beat I can't deny
My mind's whirling in a pool of bliss
My knees begin to wobble
And my body begins to tremble
I have been waiting for this
As I pucker my lips to receive his kiss
He taps me on my face
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" says he
Suddenly a stinging slap lands on my face
In surprise I gasp
"What the hell are you doing?"
"hihihihihihihihihhihi!!" I hear him laughing
With his head thrown back
"Wake up! There's a booger in your nose!"
For a moment, it makes me pause
And I open my eyes so confuse
Dammit! It's just my mischievous nephew!

Faceless Lover
This poem is about a steamy dream.....you know what I mean, everyone have those kind of dreams.
Faceless Lover
I hear my heartbeat so loud
Shallow breath I take
Unheard gasp I make
This feeling is so strange yet I allow
No words spoken
Just skin touching
No reason taken
Just soul intertwining
A face in the shadow
Gives me feeling of being own
It's so frightening
Yet it's so liberating
From the time I open my eyes
You're gone to the misty air
To the beyond I glare
But none I find
The memory I kept
To my inner most self I buried it
Primitive scent you left
I sucked into it
My skin still tingles
From the fleeting touches of your hand
Your breath still lingers
To the places I shun
You're just a visitor in the night
Just a shadow in my mind
An enigma of my soul
Yet the one I've always known

Notebook
This is not about Nicholas Sparks' novel The notebook, in fact I wrote this before "The Notebook" became popular. This is about my brother who was in love, and no one knew it... .
Notebook
A mere notebook
Just lying around
Waiting to be found
No one cares to take a look
No one knows
What secret it holds
Except for the one who knows
That piece of notes
I stumbled upon it
Out of boredom
I scanned through it
Found a letter addressed to no one
There I saw an unfinished poem
I began reading it
I had no doubt who wrote it
On his face, it's never shown
"I won't climb mountains for you
I won't swim oceans for you
But I can catch you a butterfly"
My heart's tugged by these lines
It never occurred to me
He's capable of thinking it
Much more feeling it
So another person resides in him
It reminded of another notebook
Which I found and took
A line of an unfinished poem again
I knew who wrote it then
"I can touch a thousand flowers
and not give you one"
I knew why, brother
Because you can't afford one
I never saw it in his eyes
I never heard it beyond his silence
Another voice is behind that indifference
And behind those eyes, whirlpool of emotion lies
It's not in his eyes
That the window of his soul lies
In his notebook, it lies
An unlikely place to hide

Rebels Not Murderers
It's so disappointing where the government is leading us on the Maguindanao Massacre. Though I'm pro Martial Law if it means seizing the Ampatuan clan and all the suspects, but if its underlying purpose is to cover up evidence that may implicate GMA for the fraudulent election last 2004, then they must end Martial Law in Maguindanao...
I Lost a Friend
What i really love writing about is my childhood days...and really wish I could go back...
I was a boyish girl
Never wore a skirt
Hated ruffles in my shirt
But I was full of mirth
I never went to school
With my hair untied
Bangs I despised
But shorts I found cool
Frolicking in the river
Catching grasshopper
Wrestling with you
My itinerary every afternoon
We would wrestle in your house
Shoved you hard on the wall
I wouldn't stop `til you crawl
Then you'd slam me back on the ground
It was like a brawl
Only a sniveler would cry
It would be a shame to fawn
We wouldn't stop `til we tire
I would go home smug
Never thought it would end
And that I would lose a friend
There was nothing that can be done
Days gone by
You went further and further
Didn't want our friendship to be over
But you found friends to hang by
Oh the agony of growing up!
Why did I have to grow so soon?
Trying so hard to hide it, I gave up!
But I knew he noticed it too!
It grew bigger and bigger everyday
Until I had to buy a bra!
So this was the reason why he stopped
Wrestling with me again…

A Wish to An Enemy
I composed this poem way back in college and it was inspired by a classmate....I just want to post it....
A Wish to An Enemy
A heart wrenching wish
for a bitch like you to vanish
that smirk on your face
will be wiped out off your face
A lightning will strike
that rotten heart of yours
freezes every drop of blood that flows
to that evil soul you hide
When you strut yourself across the street
high and mighty you seem
a time will come
when every mean bone will be crushed by a truck
you think you're beautiful
but look in the mirror and see in full
maggots eating their way out
to that hideous skin so foul
you think you have everything
and expect everyone to bow at your feet
a time will come when you'll have nothing
it's your turn to lick everyone's feet
don't worry my friend
it's just a wish coming from no one
for a time being be "all that"
keep your snotty nose to a lowly friend

Senator Dick Gordon for President
I'm a big supporter of Dick Gordon though I've done nothing much to support him. I didn't even vote for him last election and I can't even promise to vote for him this coming election. For a reason that I'm a registered voter of Pikit, Cotabato and it's too far from where I live. I can't spare any bus fare, every cents count.
Senator Gordon may not be the most popular candidate but he is the most capable candidate to govern our country. He is a man of ACTION. He is a good leader, just like Mayor Duterte. He helped made Olangapo City progressive.
I hate politicians who talks about corrupt government officials but doing nothing about it. Just like I said I want a man of ACTION, I want Gordon for president!
Hopefully if he's elected, maybe next time I can finally vote in our province because by then our country will be progressive.

Top 5 Favorite Book Series
1. Nothing beats Harry Potter Series. It is still the best book series ever...I never get bored after reading it a hundred times...
2. The Hunger Game Series. This is the story of a sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world where a powerful government called the Capitol has risen up after several devastating disasters. In the book, the Hunger Games are an annual televised event where the ruthless Capitol randomly selects one boy and one girl from each of the twelve districts, who are then pitted against each other in a game of survival and forced to kill until only one remains.
3. Twilight Series. The story of Bella and Edward...it's a cheesy book but still interesting enough and I really like it...
4. The Child Called it Series. The true life story of Dave Pelzer, a battered child who survived it all...It's a heavy-read book, it's really touching.
5. The Malory Series by Lindsay Lohan. It's a novel bout the generation of Malory Family...the Malory brothers, Anthony and James have a very funny and interesting character that you cannot wait what they will do next in the coming series...
